NDIVIDUAL DROPS by ICE_EYES is a cold-blooded showcase of dynamic sound organization, where sputtering shreds of sound cluster into larger scale rhythm units, before shattering into new formations once again. Sounds here are sliced, combed, atomized and always performing new acrobatics around the indeterminate no man's land of the rhythm-pitch transition zone, yet somehow never straying too far from advanced dancefloor-ready syncopations.
The tonal medium of these broken rhythmic arrangements immediately suggests something trembling with cutting edge technological infrastructure, where harmonically dense pads evoke a long forgotten IDM cgi landscape, where hybridized sounds rattle through an elaborate piping system. Warbled mumblings remind us this music is still situated in the realm of the human, but one where every transmission first passes through a chain of paranoia, interception, re-encodings and subversive content barricades.
The album is finished off with each track rearranged once again by a handful of masterful remixers.

“In seeking of new challenges, our latest work Individual Drops, is focusing on new evolving sonic material from a more microscopic point of view, by integrating more obvious granular synthesis ideas. The purpose is to create a new formula that works both in sculpting sound design, and the same time respects our dystopian orientation as an archetype. At this point, we engage more intensive, ever changing, faintly anorgasmic, sonic motifs, that work as a guidebook to an overall fragmented picture.
Arcadia, as an art form that can be used as a metaphor of utopia, is always present at the background of that image, holding all parts together, like an anchor in a turbulent sea, resembling the Argo floating on these angry waters. Space or Khoros is a variable of time balancing from small to large places, but not in an paternal way. Granular synthesis at its core, forming each sound in a discrete way, like a drop of rain falling in a pit of clear water.”

“For me the cover is a reinterpretation of the album, an illustration guided by the audio. Throughout every listening i found myself drifting among individual elements present in each moment, constantly trying to figure each layer out to be able to grasp the whole piece. By combining different visual gestures in a way i felt was abiding by ice_eyes' principles i tried to compliment (or nod, if you will) their composition. A great deal was an everpresent feeling of the sounds laying right on the threshold of familiarity - of this and out-of-this world. This was reflected in the usage of seemingly unrelated visual syntax begging a question whether the PET object is a part of the cover itself, rather than a bonus that comes with it (this rule being applicable to any part of the whole visual).”
